Our apartment has beautiful woodwork around the doorways and windows; it’s very victorian. The woodwork is so wide it forms these great ledges which we use to display knick knacks like this:
There is a very funny story to this “No Muddy Boots” plaque that involves a bit too much alcohol (some rather poor decisions on my boyfriends part) and good friends. Therefore it clearly needed to be a prominent fixture of our home as reminder of a devilishly good night. And what better to go with this plaque than a country western theme?
I had been wanting a horseshoe for awhile and we found a few at “The Future Of Frances Watson”. The horseshoe was $10.00, the spur $12.00 and the bottle of ‘Old Panther’s Piss’ (empty of course) was $18.00. The cacti we have named Pedro and Santiago; purchased for under $5.00 each. The sign was free but I can’t tell you where it came from….
Also, I have my first subscriber! Thanks SiS!
