There was a party in my office the other day and everyone had to bring something, I chose to make soft pretzels as my contribution. The idea wasn’t an original one, I actually saw it on one of the many blogs I frequent (cupcakesandcashmere.com); but they looked so delicious I thought it would be a great idea to try making them for myself.

I chose this specific recipe because it was a bit faster than the recipe Emily posted on her blog (I was in a bit of a time crunch and it was already ten o’clock at night!).
I chose to make one alteration to the recipe; we only had whole wheat flour in the house so, I had to make the substitution. Despite changing the flour however, the pretzels still tasted fantastic (thank god! because I have to admit I was a little worried for a bit there).
They were a hit and I have to admit I felt very confident in how perfect I got the shape!
